What discounts do apply in case of multiple enrollments?
It is not possible as lessons are scheduled back to back. It is the parents' responsibility to make sure that their child arrives on time for their class, if not in advance.
The enrollment of a second child in a second lesson implies a 10% discount. The enrollment of a third child in a third lesson implies a 15% discount. The enrollment of a fourth child implies a 20% discount.
Our English native music teachers can deliver their lessons in English to any English native or bilingual child. However, their role is not to teach their lessons in English to French native children.
Provided there are no lockdown or health restrictions due to covid-19, L'Ecole Koenig holds at least four student concerts at venues outside the school as well as some smaller internal concerts at the school.
What do you propose in the case of a new lockdown due to covid?
Lessons will automatically be taught online and there will be no reimbursement.
Are missed lessons made up?
We can commit to making up music lessons only if the lessons were canceled by the teacher.
Once I have paid the down payment on line per credit card, how can I pay the balance of my invoice?
Parents can pay their balance per standard debit only, with one, three, or ten installments (monthly), thanks to the signature of a SEPA Direct Debit mandate and their IBAN.
I will move out of Paris during the course of the year, my chilld has been hospitalized or is sick long term, his/her school timetable does not enable him/her to attend his/her usic lessons; can I apply for some reimbursement?
All three cases are entitled to a reimbursement based on the pro-rata of the remaining lessons, considering that any begun semester is due. Parents must notify any move at least three months in advance, with proof of their new official postal address. Parents must submit a medical certificate or their child's school timetable (knowing that it does not apply for school field trips or extra-school activities).
Is it possible to take part to a try-out lesson?
All year round we hold for the families who wish to find out more about our music lessons some open houses whose dates you can check on our website. During the course of the year, however, it is possible to take part in a try-out lesson for Baby Musicking and First Steps, which will be charged only if the family enrolls its child.
Is it possible to enroll during the course of the year?
Parents can enroll their child all year long in the following type of music lessons: Baby Musicking, First Steps, the choir, and the individual lessons. From November 1st, the invoicing of these lessons is pro-rata, meaning the number of remaining lessons until the end of the school year. The administration can send a personalized cost estimation upon request.
Does the school commit to awarding a multi-year scholarship for my child?
Yes, for the preschool program. Keep in mind that the amount of the scholarship awarded is reassessed every year, based on your latest household tax return file.
Is there any scholarship for the Music School?
Our scholarships aim at helping the families financially enroll their children in our preschool as its fees are way higher than those of the music school.
What are the Formule Avancée and Formule Elémentaire?
Formule Elémentaire and Formule Avancée are solely lesson packages at a special price that entail a group course and a private lesson: an hour-long (or 45 minutes-long) group and a 30 minute-long individual lesson (Formule Elémentaire), an hour-long group (or 45 minute-long) and a 45 minute-long individual lesson (Formule Avancée). The hour-long group is generally Formation Musicale, a Jazz and Rock Band, or the Chamber Music Workshop.
My child is below 6 but I want to enroll him in an individual instrument lesson, why can't I?
We firmly believe in our program and in its progressiveness. We intentionally offer music group classes only for children aged 3 months to 5 years old as in our eyes music means playing together, listening to others and sharing with them what one does, which is so important at these ages.
Should I pay the non-refundable fees for each of my children's enrollment?
The non-refundable down payment is to be paid per child and per year.
I am new at L'Ecole Koenig Music School and would like to enroll two children aged 6 or more, do I have to schedule two 30 minutes meeting and pay the interview fee twice?
As much as we would like to make both interviews within one interview slot, our experience shows that in order to truly assess two students, suggest the most accurate music lessons as well as the most appropriate teachers, for each of them, and spend the right amount of time speaking with them and the parent(s), we need more than 30 minutes.
