Biography

Miranda Crispin is an American-born singer, voice coach, and director who has worked for over 25 years in music and theatre.

Passionate about teaching and learning, she has served on faculty in Voice and Musical Theatre at Vincennes University, Head of Musical Theatre at Viterbo University, and as a Musical Theatre specialist at the University of Arizona. Over the past 20 years, she has taught courses and masterclasses in voice and musical theatre at numerous universities, professional theatres, and schools across the USA, in France, and throughout Europe (including the Dutch Academy of Performing Arts, Young People’s Theatre of Ann Arbor, and the Cambridge School of Performing Arts).

Miranda first joined the team at L'Ecole Koenig in 2010, where she led the musical theatre program for students aged 6-17, taught voice lessons, and directed several productions at Parisian theatres.

Since 2012, she has directed the association American Musical Theatre Live Paris, working with numerous musical theatre artists in Paris and collaborating with Broadway and West End artists. On stage, she performed in the French premiere productions of The Last Five Years, Songs For A New World, and Next Thing You Know/Un jour ou l’autre. In parallel, she was the vocal coach for several shows, including Edges, Sleepin’ Bee, Mickey & le Magicien, Mickey’s Big Band Christmas (Disneyland Paris), and It’s Only Life, collaborating with Broadway composer John Bucchino. In parallel, she maintains a private voice studio for professional and amateur singers alike.

Miranda has earned degrees at Illinois Wesleyan University (BFA Music Theatre) and Arizona State University (MM Opera and Musical Theatre Performance) and trained at L’Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris.

Ever excited about the mind/body connection and its relation to the performing arts, she continues her neuro-based performance training and is a certified aerial yoga instructor.

She enjoys sharing her love for music and interdisciplinary musical theatre with artists and students of all ages and levels.
