About Lauren Woidela

Music Teacher


American harpist, Lauren Woidela started performing both solo and chamber concerts with the Atlanta Harp Ensemble at the age of seven. She continued her studies with a music degree from Washburn University (Kansas, USA). She also studied abroad in Clermont-Ferrand at Le Conservatoire Emmanuel-Chabrier. She has had the opportunity to tour with various orchestras, chamber ensembles and performed solo concerts all over Europe, North America and Latin America. Lauren’s most recent degree is from La Schola Cantorum de Paris, under the tutelage of Huguette Géliot.

Lauren’s passion is to share music through teaching. The focus during lessons is given on technique, and special attention is paid to musicality. She especially likes to do outreach programs with youth. Her other endeavors around music include having hosted a classical music show, Classical Flavors, on the former radio station KXTR in Kansas City and giving lectures on music history at the Université de Paris Sorbonne IV and WICE Paris.
