Our Musical Collaborators
Isabelle Morin is a French-American pianist, singer and composer.
For many years, she has performed and accompanied artists from the French Jazz and pop scene, including Yannick Noah, Camille, Zazie, The Voice Messengers, Isabelle Aubret, Grégoire, Jean-Louis Auber.
A graduate from the Bill Evans Academy in harmony and piano (Paris), and from the New School with a Jazz Performance Degree (New York), she studied with Bernard Maury, Michel Sardaby, Armen Donelian, and Olga Lliano Kuehl.
Isabelle has collaborated with l’Ecole Koenig since 2000, teaching piano and vocal classes. She collaborated on different school productions and musicals: Peter Pan, The Magician of Oz, The Good Soul of Szechouan, Grease, Annie and participates as a vocal coach and musical director in educative and music events and masterclasses.
Isabelle founded « la Belle au Bois », an association which actively works towards promoting singing and improvising through creative music and art therapy. She leads and coordinates educational music programs for the French Institution FNACEM and La Ligue de l’Enseignement.
Isabelle composes and arranges original music for films and theater as well as for children. Collaboration with Roland Vincent for Paul Vecchiali‘s film « Le Cancre » (2015). Creation « Rue des Plâtrières » with Séverine Vincent (2013). She published « Les Petites Cocottes Minutes » a musical tale in 2014 (Editions Actes Sud Junior), and a CD book « C’est une Ronde ! » in 2010. In 2002 she worked on a collection dedicated to early childhood « Bébé gym, bébé nature , bébé Noel » for Sony Music, and on the collection « Ti n’ enfants » for Warner Music released in 2003.
As a songwriter, Isabelle leads her own project under the artist name Isy Aston, albums « Zone de turbulences » (2006) « Conversations with my piano » (2016).
Isabelle lives in Paris in the 15th arrondissement.
